“PROPI BUN”: a journey through the history of Carrù and its gastronomic excellence

"PROPI BUN. The history of the myth," the new volume edited by Riccardo Lubatti, is available at the Vascello d’Oro. This work explores the profound identity of Carrù, its agricultural and culinary traditions, and its unbreakable bond with the Piedmontese cattle breed.
The book traces the history of the town known as the Gateway to the Langa, focusing on the famous Fat Ox Fair, a symbol of a region that has made quality and the valorization of its roots a distinctive trait. A story rich in anecdotes, images, and testimonies that capture the authentic soul of Carrù.
Alongside the historical section, Lubatti dedicates a special chapter to the local gastronomic tradition and the restaurants that make up the "I Piaceri di Carrù"" association. Among these, the Vascello d’Oro, whose history, founding values, and the evolution of our cuisine are narrated in this volume, always faithful to Piedmontese tradition but attentive to quality and attention to detail.
The book is available for purchase directly at our restaurant: an invitation to immerse yourself in the culture of Carrù and discover, page after page, what makes this area unique.
